Hi Viewers, Today we are going to discuss about the the process of photosynthesis which is a very important and interesting chapter.  We will start with the definition and then dig deeper into it. Photosynthesis Definition: Photosynthesis is a photochemical, biochemical and oxidoreductive process by which the green plants manufacture carbohydrate type of food by combining carbondioxide and water in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll with the consequent evolution of oxygen.   Site of occurrence: Photosynthesis occurs where there is a presence of green, hence no green no photosynthesis.  The usual site of the process is in which is housed in the chloroplastid. The leaves look green because of the presence of chlorophyll in the chloroplasts of the mesophyll tissue of leaves.   Structure of chloroplastid: Each chloroplast is surrounded by two unit membranes.  Under high power microscope the chlorophyll reveals two dissimilar regions.  The stroma and grana.
