How to measure Density of a substances
Hi viewers:
Today we will discuss about another physical quantity and that is density of a substances and how to measure the density of a substance. This physical quantity takes derived units, which we will discuss in the following
DENSITY
What is density?
The density of a substance (solid, liquid and gas) is defined as mass per unit volume at a particular temperature.
OR in other words we can say
The quantity of matter contained in a given volume of a substance at a particular temperature is called its density
Density = Mass / Volume
Eg. Density of water
In CGS system, Density of water is 1 gm/cc at 4 °C
In FPS system, Density of water is 62.5 pound/cft
In MKS system, Density of water is 1000 kg/cubic metre
Units of density
In CGS system, it is gm/cc
In FPS system, it is pound/cft
In MKS system, it is kg/cubic metre
